The Latch Lock™ is a no-drill locking device that quickly and securely locks your metal ammo cans preventing them from being opened. Designed to fit modern/post-WW2 US Military “surplus” .50 Cal (M2A1 and M2A2), Fat .50 Cal (S.A.W. PA-108) and other metal ammunition cans.
While there are other ammo can locking hardware solutions on the market, they all require drilling a hole through the side of your ammo can. This takes time, tools and ultimately compromises the weather tight seal that surplus metal ammo cans are known for. The patent pending Latch Lock easily installs on the outside of your ammo can in seconds and is the only no-drill locking device sold today!

Fits U.S. Military surplus (used) ammo cans ONLY. Latch Lock is not guaranteed to fit newly manufactured AND imported ammo cans of any size or model. Confirm the model of your ammo can before purchase! Still not sure? Purchase an ammo can from us that is guaranteed to fit.
The Latch Lock REQUIRES a compatible keyed padlock or combination lock. You can provide your own lock or opt to bundle one with your purchase.
Couldn't load pickup availability
As has been commnted by others and the company, does not fit all ammo boxes. I found it fit a 50cal M2A2 box, but some how did not allow the latch to close on a 50cal M2A1 box.
As a second point, it fit the M2A2 so well that I cannot get a grip on the latch to open it. I had to use a knife or thin screwdriver to get the latch moving. A little annoying but good for boxes I don't open often.
Overall, my opinion is slightly positive.
Locks boxes tight
I really like this product, no hassle installment, no need for instructions it just goes in and locks.
At the moment I don't have the space nor the tools to do complex work like making holes in cans so this is a life changer and more importantly I can easily move it around to my other cans, no need to keep moving stuff between cans or having to make holes in all of them. If a can gets rusted or something happens to it, I just move the latch lock to another can in a few seconds and call it a day.
Works as advertised. Very secure.
An easy and convenient way of locking your Ammo Can as necessary. Note that this product is designed and intended for use with Mil Spec Ammo Cans, and will not work with Chinese or other imported cans without modification as the hole in the Ammo Cans Locking Latch Cover is too small to fit the Locking Tab on the Latch Lock. Drill the hole out to 1/2" and you should be good to go.
